SYNOPSIS

New York, 1938. Bill Wilson heads up a ragtag, 50 member-strong group of recovered alcoholics (soon to start calling themselves AA). They share a burning desire to write, publish and sell a book outlining just how they got sober - a process involving 12 steps. The only problem is that, because of where their drinking took them, these guys are broke, they've lost their reputations and Wilson, the proposed author, has never written anything before! Based on a true story, this is a show about triumph over adversity; about never giving up, when the it seems the world’s given up on you! How does the story end? Today, AA’s now-famous book has sold over 35 million copies, and counting. But hey... it didn't start out that way. In fact, it almost didn’t start at all!
